Framingham Heart study Atrial Fibrillation score - Evidencio
Framingham Heart study Atrial Fibrillation score
Using individuals examined in the Framingham Heart Study, a risk prediction model was developed to assess an individuals' absolute risk for indident atrial fibrillation. Atrial fibrillation contributes to a substantial increase in morbidity and mortality.

Conditional information

The Framingham atrial fibrillation risk score can be used by medical professionals to select patients eligible for preventive measures. The risk score can be used as an evaluation measurement after preventive measures were executed (for example: risk of atrial fibrillation might have dropped 5% after a patient lost 10 kg).
